Hello, I registered here because other topics on this forum in my endless Googling were the most helpful... and yet the problem persists. The last couple days I had a problem where my internet would drop on boot, and that was the entire internet. Oddly, it also disconnected every device on my network. I fixed the problem with netsh winsock reset which fixed the issue until the next reboot when it would start all over again. Today I encountered a totally different issue: I could now connect to IPs, but I can't connect to DNS, and resetting winsock no longer helps. Every other device on the network now works perfectly again, no more drops. Pinging IP's in the command prompt also doesn't work. Pinging 8.8.8.8 returns four counts of "Request timed out." nslookup works for both IP's and domain names. I'm running Windows 7, 64-bit, with a TL-WN822N adapter and DIR-655 router Any idea? Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
